Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you determine whether this is the right fit for your family.

Fit & Scope

  • I currently provide outpatient therapy via secure telehealth. Sessions are structured and collaborative, and families are supported in creating a private, distraction-free environment for appointments.

  • This practice is designed for families seeking steady outpatient support. If your child is experiencing active safety concerns, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors requiring immediate intervention, or significant behavioral escalation that cannot be safely managed at home, a higher level of care may be more appropriate.

If you are unsure what level of care is needed, I am happy to help guide you toward appropriate resources.

  • I specialize in supporting children and adolescents navigating anxiety, trauma-related stress, and ADHD, with active caregiver involvement.

Process

  • The length of therapy varies based on each family’s goals and needs. Some families engage in shorter-term work focused on skill-building, while others benefit from longer-term support aimed at deeper patterns and resilience.

  • Caregiver involvement is an essential part of treatment. Depending on age and goals, this may include parent sessions, joint sessions, and ongoing communication to support regulation and growth outside of therapy.

  • Sessions are structured yet flexible. Work may include conversation, practical skill-building, body-informed strategies, and collaborative problem-solving. The pace supports safety and regulation rather than pressure.

Telehealth

  • Families are expected to participate from a quiet, private space with minimal distractions. A stable internet connection and a device positioned at eye level are important for maintaining connection and therapeutic presence. Headphones are often helpful for privacy.

Caregivers play an essential role in supporting structure before and after sessions, particularly for younger children.

  • Telehealth can be effective when expectations are clear and caregivers support structure at home. If virtual therapy does not appear to be the right fit, we can discuss alternative recommendations.

  • At the beginning of each session, we confirm the client’s physical location and a contact number in case of emergency. Caregivers must remain accessible during sessions involving minors.

If safety concerns arise that cannot be appropriately managed within an outpatient telehealth setting, a higher level of care may be recommended.

Investment & Policies

  • Individual sessions are $150 for 50 minutes.

Payment is due at the time of service.

  • This is a private-pay practice.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.

Upon request, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. I encourage families to contact their insurance provider to determine coverage eligibility.

  • This is a private-pay practice designed to support thoughtful, specialized outpatient care.

Private pay allows for greater clinical flexibility, confidentiality, and depth of work. Treatment is guided by clinical judgment and your family’s goals — not by insurance limitations, diagnostic requirements, or session caps.

This practice is best suited for families seeking steady, specialized support and who value a collaborative, engaged therapeutic process.

  • Consistent attendance is an important part of therapeutic progress.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to the full session fee.
